We are an adults-only (16+), absolute beachfront resort set on a pristine white sandy beach overlooking Rarotonga’s beautiful crystal-clear lagoon.
Guests are just steps from the safe, secluded beach, perfect for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking. Sun loungers and hammocks are dotted throughout the property, making it easy to settle in and enjoy a truly relaxing island escape.
Situated on the western sunset shore and surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the resort offers 15 tastefully appointed rooms, each with its own private deck and views towards the beach and lagoon. Twelve of these rooms feature fully self-contained kitchen facilities, providing added convenience for longer stays and those who prefer to self-cater.
Furnished in a relaxed island style, our rooms offer privacy, comfort and excellent value in a peaceful beachfront setting. Two rooms are fully disability accessible.
A daily tropical breakfast is included in the room rate and is served at Aro’a Beachside Resorts very own Shipwreck Hut. This is an authentic beach bar situated right on the sand, perfectly positioned to enjoy stunning sunsets while sipping one of the bar’s famous‚ jam jar cocktails.
Room rates include daily tropical breakfast and daily housekeeping service. The Shipwreck Hut beach bar is open from 12pm every day. Aro’a Beachside Resort welcomes adults over the age of 16. Families with children are welcome at the Shipwreck Hut.
The most relaxing holiday I have ever had. What a beautiful place. Accommodation was very comfortable and looks out over the water. Right on the beach. Snorkeling is incredible, and the ocean is so warm. You can use at no extra cost the Snorkeling gear & kayaks. Sunsets are special. Shipwreck bar is right here and serves great food and great cocktails.
What more could a girl want? Aro'a has it all. It was the most relaxing holiday I have ever had. I will definitely be heading back here.

One of the Best Places to Catch a Sunset
This is a truly magical place and one of the best hotel resorts on Rarotonga due to our idyllic location. Additionally, we have the best beach with white sand and beautiful crystal clear lagoon on the western sunset shore of Rarotonga. Most importantly the resort and beach bar are perfectly situated to enjoy sunsets, swimming, snorkelling or simply relaxing in a hammock.
